Now, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) have become experts in unveiling their products through public relations. They often release information about a highly anticipated model over a period of several months before finally making it available for purchase at dealerships. The Dodge Demon 170 is one INSANE car with a 0-60 time of 1.66 seconds and a quarter-mile e.t. of 8.91 seconds, all while being street-legal and having a full factory warranty. The anticipation of waiting for this car can cause people to become extremely excited. Now that the major aspects of the puzzle have been solved, enthusiasts are eagerly searching for the subtle details, also known as Easter eggs, that the design and engineering team meticulously incorporated throughout the new Demon’s exterior, interior, and undercarriage. We have examined numerous photos in search of clues, and we have been successful in finding a few.

1. The Shocking Truth Behind ‘Alcohol-Injected’ The Hood

The ability of the supercharged Hemi to run on E85 is one of the main factors contributing to the Demon 170‘s impressive 1,025 horsepower rating. This is because E85 significantly increases the octane value of the fuel. SRT commemorated the eco-friendly development by placing the phrase “Alcohol Injected” on the hood scoop bezel.

2. The Dodge Demon 170 Badge: Unveiling the Amazing Neck Tattoo!

170 Neck Tattoo

The 2023 Dodge Demon 170’s badge is not just any emblem – it’s an enigma for car enthusiasts. This version’s badges bear distinctive clues that distinguish it from its 2018 predecessor. But what sets this particular badge apart from the rest? Well, for starters, the emblematic yellow Demon 170’s eye, which hints at the presence of E85 fuel and its blended corn component.

Interesting fact alert! The “170” hallmark tattooed across his neck signifies the alcohol content proofing in fuel. When blended with gasoline, these digits indicate that the fuel can tolerate up to 85% ethanol.

These exclusive features, combined with the monstrous horsepower and torque the Dodge Demon is known for, assure an extraordinary driving experience that any Dodge aficionado would be ecstatic to relish.

3. New Splash Screen in Instrument Panel

Upon start-up, the redesigned Demon 170 logo will appear as a splash graphic, similar to how the Hellcat logo displays on the Dodge Hellcat. The alcohol-percentage icon that appears alongside the fuel gauge is even more impressive, although it is not displayed.

4. No Black Keys to Limit Horsepower

no black keys

The Demon 170s come without a single black key. Horsepower is solely based on your fuel’s octane level, insanely giving you complete control over the power you’ll unleash. This is something valets around the world can only cheer for!

5. Direct Connection Logo Everywhere

Dodge is promoting the use of its Direct Connection parts and Power Brokers installation centers for aftermarket hardware among SRT vehicle owners. This includes placing “Direct Connection” logos on several parts of the Demon 170, including illuminated Air Catcher headlamps, axlehousing, spark plugs, billet main caps, and rear diff cover. Utilizing these resources can significantly enhance your vehicle’s performance.

6. Yellow Engine Block

The Demon 170’s unmistakable signature color, yellow, is prominently featured throughout its design, from the eye-catching fender emblem to the striking accents scattered throughout. But the yellow aesthetic goes even further than mere aesthetics. It is a nod to the corn-derived alcohol that the engine primarily runs on, indicating a dedication to cleaner and more sustainable fuel sources.

Interestingly, the decision to run on alcohol was not just environmentally conscious, but a smart engineering choice as well. Alcohol produces more horsepower than traditional gas, allowing the Demon 170 to reach even greater speeds and deliver hair-raising acceleration.

7. Rear Seat Delete Close-Out

The image we see of the rear seat-delete area may not be very clear, but if you were able to view it, you would notice a Dodge Challenger outline on the right-hand side (driver’s side) and a Christmas tree on the left-hand side. The photo inset showcases the identical panel present in our 2023 Dodge SRT Super Stock. It displays a Challenger on the left, captured in profile, performing a smoky burnout. That differs significantly from the Demon 170.

8. No Demon Graphics on the Air Grabber

No Demon Graphics on Grabber

The 2018 Dodge Demon was well-known for its “Air Grabber” graphic, which was proudly displayed under its hood. The good news is that even though this signature graphic is no longer present, the actual Air Grabber system from earlier Demon models is still alive, well, and as powerful as ever on the Demon 170 model. The Air Grabber system improves engine performance by further increasing air intake and flow to the engine, allowing for more efficient combustion and increased horsepower. Dodge enthusiasts can rest easy knowing that even though there may not be a graphic, the Air Grabber system is still alive and well on the 2021 Demon 170.

9. Yellow Brembo Logo on Calipers

The Demon 170 features an obvious yellow theme. And purpose of the statement is to highlight the eco-friendliness of the Demon 170 car, which primarily operates on corn-based fuel, a renewable and carbon-neutral energy source. The Brembo caliper logo features yellow color on all four corners.

10. Demon 170 Supercharger Plate

The popular rectangular Dodge Demon 170 supercharger plate has made a triumphant return for the 2023 model! This time around, the emblem includes a “170” callout next to the demon’s head, located on the Hemi’s intake manifold. Word on the street is that the emblem is magnetic and can be removed for display purposes, but we have yet to verify this information.

If you’re in the market for the new Dodge Demon, you’ll be pleased to know that the car also comes with a matching drinking set that includes a complimentary emblem. So, not only will you be cruising the streets in style, but you’ll also be able to enjoy drinks with a little extra Demon flair at your next party!
